The following terms of service set forth the agreements between a registered student member and the
Global Internship Facilitation of Taiwan platform (the “program”). These terms may be amended at any
time, and such amendments are effective immediately upon posting of such amendment on the program’s
official web site.
A. Consent to use of personal information
For the purpose of internship training and placement, the program will collect the following personal
information from you: name, contact information (including, but not limited to, your phone number, fax
number, email address, and employment address), and other information that may directly or indirectly
Types of personal information collected: Code types of identification: C001 and C003. Code types of
characteristic: C011. Education, examination, technique, or other profession: C051 and C052.
Period, locations, parties, and method of personal information use:
Period: The length of time necessary for the program to carry out its duties.
Parties: All entities related to the administration of the program, including administrative units
of schools, and supervisory or regulatory bodies.
Locations: The places in which the aforementioned parties are located.
Method: In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and other related laws and
In accordance with Article 3 of the Personal Data Protection Act, you shall be able to exercise the
(1) the right to make an inquiry of and to review your personal data;
(2) the right to request a copy of your personal data;
(3) the right to supplement or correct your personal data;
(4) the right to demand the cessation of the collection, processing, or use of your personal data;
(5) the right to erase your personal data. The program is not liable for any damages you may incur
when your exercise the aforementioned rights.
You are free to elect whether to provide your personal information; however, the project may be unable
to provide certain services if you refuse to give your information, or if the information you give is
false or incomplete.
If you are an international or overseas Chinese student, we may use a portion of your personal
information to register you at the career services platform managed by the Department of Investment
Services of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the year in which you are expected to graduate.
If you submit your resume to an employer, the system will automatically provide your contact
information (name, cell phone number and email address) to the employer. If the employer actively
recruits you, you can choose whether to provide your contact information.
In the event your personal information needs to be transferred to a third party for processing, the
program will exercise strict oversight over such data processing by the third party.
You acknowledge this consent form is prepared in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and
other related laws and regulations. You also agree to the retaining of this consent form, which can be
retrieved at a later date if required.
B. Consent to provide personal information:
I have read and understood the aforementioned terms of this notice.
I agree to the collection, processing and use of my personal information by the program and other
government agencies that are providing administrative assistance.
C. Protection of parties involved with internship
If a complaint is filed against a student who does not fulfill his or her internship-related
obligations (including, but not limited to, missing interviews and not completing internship
coursework), and such complaint is confirmed to be true after investigation, the program will post the
infraction on its official web site where all members can see.
In order to monitor the quality of internships offered on the platform, a student must complete a
questionnaire after every interview or internship.
